The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of large-scale, complex IT projects and managing software development and deployment across multiple regions. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on project management, ensuring that all IT initiatives are aligned with the company’s business objectives and global priorities. The IT Manager will lead global software development and procurement processes, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively, and new software systems deliver maximum value to the organization. This position requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and a deep understanding of IT projects and software management. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong ability to work effectively across a diverse set of cultures, fostering collaboration and understanding in a global, multicultural environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of global IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Manage the overall IT project portfolio, including prioritization, coordination of resources from both IT and business subject matter experts, and alignment of projects with business strategies.
- Develop and implement project management strategies, frameworks, and methodologies to support the successful execution of IT initiatives.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, including executives, business leaders, and technical teams, to gather requirements, define project scope, set objectives, and manage software development and deployment.
- Regularly assess the health of all IT software to ensure it is aligned with strategic priorities and capable of delivering expected business outcomes.
- Manage timelines, risks, and resources, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, and within scope.
- Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project/development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Work effectively across a diverse set of cultures, fostering collaboration and building strong relationships with global teams and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact project or software and system delivery, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Lead regular project reviews and adjust priorities, resources, or timelines based on changing business needs and project performance.
- Report on software development projects and deployment progress, performance metrics, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Lead post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions to continuously improve project management processes and methodologies.
- Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in IT project management and portfolio management, incorporating them into future initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing global projects and managing project portfolios.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex IT projects and managing an IT software portfolio in a global environment.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, digital transformation strategies.
- Proven ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and manage teams in a global environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving and competing priorities.
- Ability to travel globally as needed.
This is an onsite role located in Bethlehem, PA. Local/Regional Candidates strongly preferred.
