Learn everything you need to know about Flexicon Liquid Mixing Eductor
Flexicon’s patented Liquid Mixing Eductors represent an evolution of the traditional venturi‑driven solid-to-liquid mixing mechanism. As liquid enters the eductor through the fluid feed inlet, it is directed through a nozzle with a proprietary geometry. The nozzle creates a Venturi effect, which draws dry material into the liquid stream from the powder induction hopper. Using a centrifugal, twin-screw or rotary lobe pump to supply motive liquid, the eductor provides a simple, reliable method for introducing dry materials into mixing tanks, slurry tanks, or reaction vessels while ensuring smooth, uniform dispersion without clumping.

Precision Nozzle Design
As liquid passes through the patented high‑velocity nozzle, it rapidly accelerates and reshapes into a dynamic, high‑energy flow that initiates the Venturi mixing process.

Pump Driven Flow
A centrifugal, twin-screw or rotary lobe pump pressurizes the liquid flow to the eductor and any downstream piping or tanks.

Vacuum Entrainment
The Venturi effect generates a strong vacuum that pulls dry material into the accelerated, high-shear mixing zone for reliable clump-free, dispersion.
Explore our Liquid Mixing Eductor options, including batching tanks, custom-engineered skid mountings, hand-wand inlets, and sanitary configurations, all designed to enhance efficiency and meet your specific material handling needs.

Batching Tank
Flexicon can provide a liquid tank designed to function as either a batching tank or a surge tank, fully integrated into your process solution.

Custom Engineered Skid Mounting
For fast, simplified installation, optional custom‑engineered skids can be supplied to support pumps, eductors, powder‑introduction hoppers, and integrated controls.

Hand-Wand Inlet
An optional secondary inlet allows connection of a handheld pickup wand to vacuum bulk solid or liquid ingredients directly from containers such as Gaylords, drums, paper bags, and barrels.

Sanitary Configurations
Stainless-steel construction supports CIP processes and meets sanitary requirements for hygienic environments.
Flexicon Liquid Mixing Eductors offer a range of advantages to improve your bulk handling process.
No Moving Parts: The eductor’s static, motionless design eliminates mechanical components, reducing downtime and long‑term maintenance costs common to traditional mixing equipment.
Easy-Access Layout: A compact, lightweight construction provides simple floor-level access for cleaning, inspection and integration into existing process lines.
Fast, Thorough Cleaning: Engineered for easy disassembly and cleaning, the eductor also incorporates full CIP capability to streamline sanitation, reduce manual effort, and improve operator safety.
Higher Production Throughput Rates: Rapid blend times and high‑speed dosing support faster dry material integration, enabling greater throughput and shorter cycle times.
Uninterrupted Material Flow: Engineered to prevent bridging and plugging, the eductor keeps dry solids moving freely for smooth, consistent entrainment.
High-Performance Mixing Efficiency: The unique patented nozzle creates a high energy mixing zone which prevents lumps, “fish-eyes,” and microgels, delivering smooth, reliable blends with polymers, starches, emulsions, clays, pigments, gums, and hydrocolloids.
Liquid Mixing Eductors are well-suited for a variety of applications and plant environments. They can be paired with a range of upstream and downstream equipment including the Flexicon product line.
